I'm headed to Higher Power in JAN. GI bill paying for most of mine. I have thought about what other companies will think when they see my 737 type. All of my time is in NAVY jets, so I figure the 737 type would help me be more familiar with a big Boeing type airplane and also show that I am able to learn a new aircraft. That, and the GI bill paying for most of it should be enough of an explanation to satisfy the interviewers. I have read conflicting opinions on this topic and would appreciate any feedback. I do plan on applying for SWA, but not just SWA.
Nice people down there at Higher Power. I was grilled on why I had a type talking with the Virgin folks, did't get the job with them, oh did I mention I had been flying the bus for years...so like I said it can be double edged, and yes mine was FREE too, used that as a backdrop, after that they asked if I interviewed or applied to SWA...
