I fly turbo prop and love the Bose. Funny, I just found out about that dimming feature too after 3 years! My headset also cracked but I sent them to Bose and they fixed the plastic, replaced leather ear cups and replaced the sheepskin head pad for free. They even paid for the shipping. Under warranty of course
ive had mine for at least 5 years.
the ear cups started leaving black stuff all over my white shirts and the ANR was going out( kept hearing morse code)
I sent it in for new ear cups and to get the ANR fixed expecting about a $300 bill with shipping.
I got them back
no charge and they replaced
everything except the Mic, the Mic dust cover, and the black plastic that says Bose. You cannot not beat the customer service.
