Someone told me that whole battle along MEC lines was driven by a fear that f-NWA would leverage CPS to control the MEC, taking power from the f-DAL side. I did not think that was a possibility after ANC closed.

No doubt the JAL bailout coming via a virtual lock out of the Japanese market is a more important issue.
