SC is able to report in reasonable time. (ATL, DTW 2 hrs~) available no matter what the length of the trip. On the 777 you could be in your 23rd hr of SC and get called out to go to DXB which is 15 hrs. You are legal.

LC give you at least a 12 hr notice prior to the trip. There are some constraints with ULH, but the computer deals with it.

On Domestic trip they can only give you a domestic trip like you state in teh first 12 hrs that will comply with Whitlow and be dutied out at the outstation within 16 hrs from the start of the SC period.
