I feel that in other professions, often managers of business units and individual project managers often work under contract. Often the second in command also work under contract. I think that airline crews are in a very similar position. The captain is the leader of a small "business unit" and the FO is #2. If people in the business world have a similar position and work under contract, I feel we should as well.
