Why are we currently building up our bases in the middle east? Why are we installing new bunkers (to hide from WMDs) if Saddam didn't have any and if we aren't going to hit Iran?

I said the same thing about Iraq back in the day and people thought I was nuts -- well before Bush was in office. Going into Iraq didn't happen overnight. It took years to build the infrastructure, not to mention, passing symbolic laws such as "The Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998" ... read that again ... 1 9 9 8 !!!
