In DBMS under the slip request function there is an option to request to be first in line for short call. I think it's under the yellow slip area. There is no guarantee that you will get SC, but if you want to attempt to get all your SC assignments towards the first of the month, you can attempt it using this request. As far as helping your RAW score, getting a SC day and not getting used doesn't raise your raw score by much. It also won't raise it at all until you get a trip with credit in it so you could sit six days of SC without getting used and still have a RAW of 0. Once they use you for a trip with credit, those SC days will go into the RAW formula and it will be slightly higher due to those SC days.
