I have found that most pilots against this bill are those that are well below ATP mins and don't want to have to pay their dues. That's a dangerous situation when you get young pilots willing to do anything NOT to gain experience. This bill NEEDS to pass! Safety for the American people depends on it as well as the fact that as soon as this bill passes, airline hiring will resume much quicker, they'll HAVE to start hiring sooner if this bill as well as the crew rest requirement bill passes (H.R.3273: Ensuring One Level of Aviation Safety Act of 2009 - U.S. Congress - OpenCongress) due to needing more qualified (ATP) pilots to cover for those under the rest requirements. It takes very little time to register and vote (less the 5 mins). Let's come together and get this bill passed!
