Sucks to hear but get used it, thats the way things go in this (and most other) industries. The folks that matter are up to their eyeballs in applicants.

And not to sound harsh or uncaring because I've been there, but I think starting a thread everytime you do something related to your job search is a little over the top and unnecessary especially when its something as trivial and minor as sending an email and not getting a response. It has been said plenty of other times that the keys to success are patience and persistance.
