It still counts towards total time...........but you need more time in bigger equipment.......1500hrs PIC in a MEL Turbine a/c with Gross weight greater that 12,000 LBS is what you should strive to acquire.
Shouldn't that be over 12,500 lbs for a "heavy" type rating?
