Freightpuppy--I don't think ANC is in my future and won't move there in any event. I'm not a socialist. Sometimes crap happens. It's not the IPA or UPS's fault. We can't even blame the Favres. The economy crapped out, loads decreased and we became overstaffed. If you feel the need to go on half pay fine, just don't blame me for wanting what is best for me and the family.
I guess what I'm saying is that I've cut my hours to the point that it hurts and can't do more. I don't question others who don't participate in the MOU. You can't blame the IPA/UPS if there is a furlough. "It's the economy stupid."
When did I blame you for doing what's best for you and the family? I don't expect anyone to give up as much as I did because it's a personal choice of how much you give. I think I gave a respecatable amount and anything beyond that (wanting to RDG 2010 and 2011 is 98% for selfish reasons...the other 2% is that I feel horrible if UPS does in fact furlough). I just think that the fact that one can give as little as one hour of sick makes it inexcusable that we do not have 100% participation.
