... so you are nearing the end of a 14 or 15 hour duty day...
- night flight; 5th, 6th or maybe even 7th leg of the day
- the weather is crap
- held on an arrival and diverted earlier in the day
- the airplane has multiple MELs or maintenance issues, possibly no autopilot
- nothing is going right; the flight is already delayed; passengers are irrate...
But that's okay. You got your 12 hours of rest before you started your day. You couldn't possibly be fatigued.
