They put new coax cable in where we needed it. The satellite coax was a heavier grade than my old cable. I had them rewire two of my existing in-wall cable jacks, but they were hesitant to do so at first. They would prefer to have drilled a new hole.
We have one receiver for two tvs. The second tv is connected only by cable, and the remote for it works via UHF signal to the main receiver. The main tv is hooked up to the receiver box itself, and uses an infared remote. You are thus able to watch different things on each TV.
I have been around both, and I prefer Dish over Direct TV.
We got tired of our local cable company providing inconsistant service. We have been happy with Dish Network. The new cable company in town is reported to be better, but we are staying put for now.
Trivia....Dish Network channel 212 is a live 24/7 pic of Earth centered over North America....kinda cool.
