Much of the bid is worked by hand. Use the normal 1 800 number and select crew planning from the options. They will add you to the bid if your info is correct. Keep in mind that to get the AE someone junior to you will have to have been awarded a AE to that category. To get the VD you have to use the seniority of the person who would have been displaced. Its possible lots of guys VD and MD into a category but no one junior to you got a AE and your VD might not have had the seniority to hold it. If thats not the case give them a call and they will give you the bid.
Thanks Sailingfun! I'm sure that I'm missing something in this, but it sure appears that I should have been awarded this position in an AE. The entire VD issue is a little more cloudy to me, but I'm working on it.
It is a new category, so that may be part of the issue. Good news is I'm on the aircraft I wanted, but just not the base. If I can't get it worked out with Crew Resources and the Union, then I'll have the next bid possibly.....
