I wonder how far we can go here, DAL gets JAL and puts in for anti-trust and then DAL goes for AS and merges with another airline within one year of merging with NWA... to me AMR is going to have to come out swinging...
Sure they are - as is JBLU and LCC over LaGuardia. Oldest play in the book - when the competition is doing well cry "anti-trust, unfair competition"
Fact is there is very little overlap on AS. The anti-trust flag kind of fly's in the face of all the "Consolidation, reduce capacity" siren songs of various CEO's over the last several years (including Parker who was one of the loudest, but now objects to the concentration of DAL in NYC)
I guess consolidation is good as long as it's you and not the other guy.....
