You have to input it manually because the computer system has no idea when you actual travel to training and when you go back.
My schedule in DBMS knew to tell me to show up 30 minutes prior to my DH to training and showed a duty end time of 30 minutes after my DH flight landed coming home. Wouldn't think it would be hard to just pay us off of that data. Still can't believe we have to do this to get paid and also log our landings. Even the MESA guys don't have to log their own landings.
