I spoke with a CAL individual who had to find over 500 (Yep, FIVE HUNDRED) hotel rooms for crewmembers who timed out due to this snafu. Funny thing is though, is that this bonehead is STILL EMPLOYED by the TSA. Our flights from Europe were arriving up to 12 hours late yesterday because of this so-called "security screener" SCREWUP. We had crews flying in and waiting over 3.5 hours for a gate (I guess the passenger bill of rights now kicks in and we get fined?????
). I think it's high time the government took some responsibity and PAID back all the airlines (especially CAL) for the inconvenience and money it cost us for THEIR blunder. We cannot stay in business like this, and we shouldn't have to pay for it either. Sooooo, does anyone think the TSA will step up to the plate and try to make everyone whole who was damaged by this?
