If I were on a crew flying an international flight inbound to the U.S. (or for that matter anywhere) I'd want to know. But perhaps the fault does not rest with the feds, but with each individual carrier. According to an Delta All Pilots letter last week, all inbound flights to the U.S. were made aware of the situation. From what I heard chaos did not ensue.
