For everyone's information, newhires will spend 7 weeks in DFW for training. You are paid 60 hours a month while in training and 16 hours of per diem at $1.80 per day. That comes out to about $78 per day while in training. You will have a roommate until the systems test about 4 weeks into training. If you are lucky like me, or a girl, you might get a room to yourself. I got my own room because my assigned roommate lived in DFW. Your benefits will start day 2 or 3. You can use CASS and jumpseat home on another airline or use the AA benefits and pay to nonrev on AA. Year 2 pay will start one year from your first day of indoc.
