I'm not taking a jab here but From the conversation I had with the CP and CEO, they are not sending from the bottom, but rather hand picked. The only way this is going to have a direct impact on the furloughed crowd is if this simply creates more work for the whole company and they get called back into their previously role.

They can't do that. It would be a major violation of section 24 of our contract. They
must put it up for bids, and accept the results, or otherwise, they will have to NEGOTIATE a side letter with the union allowing them to "hand pick". Now if they took from the SkyWest side, they could do whatever they want... (hint, hint).
I wouldn't be surprised to see ASA provide the airplanes, and SkyWest provide the pilots. Gee, didn't they just announce hiring 20-30 or so pilots? Seems to me that would be just enough to cover 5 airplanes plus a spare...
