Actually, he gave the top 517 spots for the number of wide bodied captain and
first officer jobs brought to the merger. Nicolau counted both captains and first officers (also I believe LTD) to reach 517. It was only after accounting for all the wide bodied jobs (both captain and first officer) that the ratios started.
