Ferd I'll do my best after a great game and several cold ones....
Scheduling will wait till around 0900 the day before your original sign in to notify you of one of two things:
1) trip taken and you are subject to recovery flying
2) trip taken and reassigned another pairing

If you don't acknowledge their attempts at notifying you within 3 hrs of report (double check the time) they will remove any recovery flying that was placed on your schedule. You are now on short call for the first 6 hrs starting at your original report....if nothing within those 6 hrs your released for the remainder of the foot print.
