They have been giving Aviation INcentive Pay for a long, long time. Some times it is quite good, other times not as much. Back in the 'good ole' days', not many would take it if they were planning to go for the airlines. the loss in seniority was not worth it in the *long* run. At one time there was a study that said that you could get out all the way until you 18 year and still be better off financially getting on with the majors. Of course those times seem to be long gone now in the current state of the industry. I'm not sure what they were offering 3 years ago. I wasn't paying attention to it anymore.

As for those wanting to get on with American Eagle I say best of luck. I don't know enough about the industry to offer any advice of course; but encourage those geared toward applying to be armed with all the knowledge you can and too make informed decisions based on your expectations and desires, tempered with a healthy dose of reality.
