Someone also told me after a certain amount of time you have to go through initial again. Not sure what time frame that is.
I'm sure it is the same at PDT as it was at PSA.... Basically if you are current in the Aircraft, such as furloughed and not passed your PC/PT yet you are ok with just a simple 3 Landings with a Checkairmen.... (3 in the previous....)
If you had a PT/PC go by and are not at a YEAR yet, the FAA is ok with the company just throwing you into a ground school and a sim for a PC/PT and away you can go.......
If it has been over a year on a furlough, the FAA will force the training department to take you in as a new hire....
At PSA when we were recalled it was at 6 months. However we all should have had a PT occur. THUS they sent us through a week of ground school to get current (basically a re-current ground expanded). Then onto CLT we went where they could have just given us a PC and called it a day. However PSA Training Department set us up with 2 SIMS and a PC. Then a difference training on the CRJ700... Followed with 10 hours of IOE with a Checkairmen (basically to get a line check completed).
