I love the jet. You'll love it. Similar cockpit ergonomics as the 777. I love the way it flies, very stable. Its a beeyatch to slow down but when you understand that, its not a problem. The VNAV airspeed control is lacking. Plus 10 or minus 15 knots to hold the path. Gotta keep an eye on that. The cockpit is the tightest I've ever flown in. On a good note: most of the CA's I fly with are great, so that works out well. You'll have better trips out of ATL. We're down to mostly red eyes in LAX. Also, take a look at the Feb bid package. More than half of our rotations are flying out of SNA! That's a huge change.
