The bus is pretty good. It allows for +/- 10 knots either side of desired decent speed. The new software is nice in the fact that you can change the desired speed for the decent after beginning the decent phase of flight (without recruising the airplane). It does however like to hit the fix right at the altitude with usually translates into +300 feet (which is ok). Flight path angle mode is nice in that it will guarantee that you cross the fix at the altitude and speed up if needed (not sure if the boeing has that mode).
