I agree with your post, I truly do. Alot of RJ dispatchers are as dumb as poeple in call centres who really don't know jack. I actually really enjoy it when a pilot would question me because it shows him I did my homework and I am making an educated decision. You get one thing out of doing that, respect from the Pilots. Pilots are just like truck drivers, you're only out for yourself. That's the way it was at my old company anyways. But the point I really, really hate seeing is this the one bolded above. If you really feel that the pilot needs to be in full command of a flight, then start a 135 ticket or go fly for one. There are enough pilots who think they can do everything without the help of dispatch, we don't need anymore.
