First time in a jet we blasted off out of LGA. Captain took the leg so I could see what it was like but I don't really remember anything except the cruise portion felt like it took 5 minutes (it was an hour and 15 minute flight). I'm pretty sure I was still talking to ramp control at 22,000 feet. Next leg was mine and it was a visual at night into LGA on 22. Talk about flippin' out. I looked at the captain and asked him if he was sure he wanted me doing this "first landing" with 50 people in the back. He just laughed at me and told me it was a trial by fire. Landing wasn't too shabby (subsequent landings on that trip did not go quite as well). All in all I just remember thinking "eventually I'm going to catch up to this thing."

Since then I haven't gone back to a prop. I have a feeling I'll probably scare the living crap out of myself touching down 60 knots slower.
