This would be the result of uninformed pilots voting in a weak contract. May this be a lesson to those who failed to understand the art of contract
negotiation and the importance of strong, enforceable contract language.
Negotiation should be a required college prerequisite. While common in most of the world, bargaining is not a skill most Americans posess. Contracts are expected to be bargained for; be it for a car, house, business, or labor.
Never, never, never ever accept the first contract proposal because that's all it is, a
proposal.
