Everyone thinks they deserve an upgrade quickly. Since when has this become the norm? If I would have sat as an FO for 10 years, well that's the way it goes. You'll upgrade when you upgrade. End of story. There is a big difference between when you think you should upgrade and when the industry is ready to upgrade addtional people. It's all about timing, not what you think you are entitled to.

Everyone thinks they deserve to make livable wages. You can't do that as a regional first officer therefore it is looked at as a temporary job (1-2 years max). That has kept pilots flocking to the regionals.
