Colgan isn't taking anybody's routes, CAL is giving them away.
On a somewhat relevant tangent, I think Colgan and Mesa are two totally different animals. Colgan is a vestige of the "commuters" era whereas mesa was a major airline operating with the commuter, stepping-stone mindset. Colgan's Saab rates aren't that far off SkyWest's Bro rates, however, with the Q deliveries coming and a contract in the works I hope Colgan shoots for higher rates and salvages their name. I know a lot of good pilots there and plenty of crummy ones at my "top-tier regional" (oxymoron if I've ever spoken one) so I'd advise against painting any pilot group with broad brush stroke.
