I haven't posted in quite a while but wanted to give folks an update on deploying. I have been tasked for my first 120 and I have been back right at 6 months when I go. Never doubted that it would happen, just wasn't expecting it so soon. I can't complain, though, it's really a pretty good deal. As Kikuchiyo and I have discussed before, there are good gigs and not so good gigs. I was asked about a 365 by my boss and I pointed out on my contract that I wasn't eligible for 365s unless I volunteer, which ain't going to happen. I hope that they find more money this year and bring more folks back. I think it is bringing a sense of stability to units that we are being assigned to. It took me a while to fit back in, but have finally been accepted as someone who knows what I am doing and not just a warm body. Best of luck to all and we'll keep pushing from the inside.

I am headed back to active duty this week and would like to know about deployments, what is allowed and what isnt, and where does it say so?
I have heard people kick the no delpoyment thing around this forum for 6 months but havent seen it printed anywhere--could you give me a source document so I can show it to my boss if they start taking 1 year remote or a PCS?
Snacks, what is the 'contract' of which you speak, I would like to use that black magic too if need be. I dont remember the SOI saying anything about deployments.
