It don't matter how much money Delta has, it matters how much money Mesaba has. If Delta stops paying them, they have no money and are bankrupt. Wholly owns get paid per flight. Lets just say it $2600 a flight (that is a totally random number.) Let say Delta decides they are going to reduce that number to $1000. Mesaba would not last very long. They could send Mesaba right back into bankruptcy very quickly. You can say good bye to all the snap backs and they already got PBS so I can't imagine what they would go for next. Never think Mesaba is safe. They are in no way safe. If I were you I would rather be at a contract carrier while Delta is trying to dump capacity.
