What you're really talking about is RELATIVE SENIORITY.....and it does improve when the ranks increase below you. This is also true for the ranks w/in a particular base; but that's breaking it down farther than this thread requires.
Always better to have guys above leave for greener pastures....but adding to the herd below is almost as good.
To those looking for advice....mine would be never turn down an airline interview....
Turn down job offers if you don't like what you see/hear AFTER completing the entire process!
