We are all moderately intelligent people. Educate us on them and let us decide. Communicate to your constituents and don't under estimate them.
Doing so would be a fatal political error, one that has repeatedly been made be this administration.
FWIW, this is my second post yet I have been reading this thread for quite awhile. I'm done reading. Time to add my opinion and it is opinion only.
I suggest you read too! There are many good points on this thread.
Also, no one blindly accepts anything that types on this board. I would submit that most are well educated on the issues, and make informed decisions.
The MEC published a White Paper on the JAL deal after many people suggested it. It was simple but it outlined many points for this deal. It also gave you and I many points.
I too was surprised to see is backing the JV with the letter from our Master Chair. It was the first acknowledgment of it anywhere.
If you recall I am for more open two way communication between the MEC and the LEC's and us the rank and file. There have been many discussion of the benefits and negatives of it. In the end even if it resulted in less in our pockets it is important to be bottom up. Many see that. I also give our MEC credit for some of the very noticeable things they have done recently. It is progress in the correct direction. When pilots provide input and there is noticeable change that is progress, however small it may appear to be.
I have also made suggestions about some of the mechanics of this JV, both financial and in its setup. I do not need to have to be asked for my opinion. I offer it and you should too.
Once again welcome. I look forward to an intelligent debate
