2440/2=1220 per paycheck. Looks accurate to me. Even quoting your example of 45/hr it still comes close to 1200/paycheck in the end.

I have actually seen a CA paycheck in '07 when I was flying with an '05 hire. we were based at an outstation (no per diem) and I remember it being around $1200... I was shocked (and it's still pretty shocking). Last year I saw an '07 captain's W-2, he had grossed $36k or 37k. No per diem of course because of outstation basing. Your friend must've picked a lot of open time... that kind of opportunity just isn't around anymore, at least I don't know if the open time available/reserve situation is different down in IAH. For example my line is only credited at 65 hrs like many of the other lines... to make over guarantee, I would need to pick up THREE separate trips (assuming each trip is worth 5 hrs of flying) because the first two only serve to bring me up to guarantee. Scheduling rarely grants lineholders open time, let alone 3 in one month! Even then, at the end of picking up 3 extra trips in a month, I would have made only 5 hrs of extra pay over guarantee. See, it's not for lack of trying. To be fair I did pretty well in the first year picking up plenty of open time when the Colgans were still running the place. Those were the days of 85-90 hr lines. But Pinnacle seems intent on making everyone earn only bare minimum guarantee (and 12 days off for senior lines.)

Anyhows I'm quite (pleasantly) shocked about this new repo pay credit. I'm assuming it's per repo rountrip, not for the entire month. That actually makes the work worth it.
Oh, the curse of being a street Captain.

I was shocked, as you said as well, when I say a 1 hr repo for IAD...must of been a typo. Are you a 2007 hire?
