ASA once had a guy in initial training with around 300 hours. He was FURIOUS when he was awarded the ATR. Told the chief pilot he went to riddle to be a jet pilot.
Chief told him he could be in ATR class on monday or fly a jet for somebody else. I would have fired him on the spot. I'll bet our furloughed guys would be glad to come back and fly the A-T-Ra.
I would've killed to get the ATR or Brazilia when I had 300 hours. You will learn to be a real pilot in those airplanes.
