Chief told him he could be in ATR class on monday or fly a jet for somebody else. I would have fired him on the spot. I'll bet our furloughed guys would be glad to come back and fly the A-T-Ra.
I would've killed to get the ATR or Brazilia when I had 300 hours. You will learn to be a real pilot in those airplanes.
man I would have loved to have flown the ATR! that is what I wanted to fly when I came to ASA but they were not putting anymore people on it. I was lucky enough to have 4 check airmen from the ATR in my RJ systems class. those 4 guys were awesome and flying with them would have been a trip!
