Well, I firmly believe that it would not have changed if no one complained about it because management would be thinking "the troops are happy, so lets not change anything".

And while it could have been the "legal saber rattling", I would like to think that it was just the fact that management understood that the MEC made a compelling argument as to why it should be changed and a level headed decision was made. I get the fact that the DAL-N pilots are hard-wired to "extreme distrust" but lets give our new management team a few chances to prove us wrong.
