Rule #1 for working at an airline- Do not ever learn or memorize anything that was not given to you by the company. Every Saab operator uses different numbers and has different limitations for the aircraft. Do not even use old Colgan Saab books because those numbers have changed as well
Learning outside numbers and limitations is not only a waste of time but will drill those numbers into your head.
I've heard that from a number of people as well. i'm sure we all know primacy can be a real pain when the wrong information is learned first. I thought about doing the same thing - as I had been given probably the same site to look over stuff - but was advised from a former colgan pilot not to study anything unless the company tells you to....so that's just what I'm going to do
