Right after the auction Bedford cancelled the delivery of our 12th plane that was to be delivered this month. Current customers have access to these cancelled orders that happen once in a while. That plane was cancelled in October and is now being test flown but is still registered to Lynx... in other words nobody has spoken for it. The deposit was already put down a year earlier by F9 and became a gift to Bombardier. There are used Q's on the market that have been for sale for a year (Jeju). He doesn't like or want props so thats it.
Obviously the more planes you have the easier it is to show a profit. But there is a lot of variables to consider to come up with the magic # of airframes. Fee for departure contracts would probably need a bigger #.
If BB had any brains the Q400 would have been the most profitable airplane he could have had on his fleet... Good luck getting into and out of Aspen with the E-170 you dumb son of a bishop...
