An OP ED (not so much news, but more like a reporters opinion) from the Denver Post:

"....Strange Bedford fellows.

Republic Airways chief executive Bryan Bedford channeling Frank Lorenzo?

Postings on an airline-pilot forum blog Thursday under a thread called "Lynx killed off" compare Bedford to Lorenzo, the legendary airline mogul who, under deregulation, bought up several carriers including Frontier (in a previous incarnation) and Continental.

When he was unable or unwilling to negotiate new contracts with Continental's union employees, Lorenzo put the airline into bankruptcy so he could fire union workers and restart the airline sans union staff.

"Meet the new Frank Lorenzo, folks," says a blog posting with a photo of Bedford in front of a jet engine. The item was posted shortly after Republic announced it would be getting rid of Lynx Aviation, the turboprop fleet that links smaller airports with Frontier's Denver hub."

Just remember folks. What you say here could be quoted in the news.
