Chat is not going to the panel. Hate to spoil the infantile fun in this thread, but he company automatically assigns a class date if one does not put in their retirement notification early enough. He retires on his birthday. Some guys apparently do not get that he just loves this job, the travel, and the flying. Too bad! He's one of the best MD11 pilots I ever flew with, definitely the most fun, and has friends and things to do in every layover city. Some guys could learn from him and maybe they'd enjoy our job much more. Never had any other Captain pay for every single meal and drink I had for 14 days around the world. We could use more like him!
