Why did they vote it down? I just want to know what you know.
it passed unanimously at a number of LECs but was accepted with "No Action Taken" once it got to the MEC.

A conscious decision was made by the fNWA negotiators and then ratified by the fNWA pilots to create the package that is now our PWA. You kept what you brought to the table. If "shot down by the DAL mec" means that the fNWA reps acknowledged that there was a deal in place and retroactive changes that only benefited one group would not be allowed, then I guess you're right.

Time to look forward. I want contractual changes that benefit all Delta pilots.
I realize how it took place when it initially was written into the contract. The point is that the way it was written was blatently unfair to our small group of newhires on the NWA side. Our reps said they tried to get it fixed before it was finalized but they ran out of time. Thus we tried to pass a resolution to ammend it it passed unanimously because everyone realized how unlevel it was for the 170 of us post 2001 hires. Its not right that a future Newhire will be working under a better contract than those of us already here. Do you think its ok that a pilot that hasnt been hired yet will be working under a better contract than those of us who've been here a couple years already?

Even if nothing gets changed from this point up until our next contract we need to ensure that its fixed in the next contract so as to show that ALL DELTA pilots get their longevity bumps at DOH going forward. With no exceptions, we should ALL be under the same contract going forward.
