The point is when most of us were cherry O-1's, we were told RHIP. (It also has it's obligations).
But, I find it insulting to be asked to give more and more time to the military with less and less support. It's not just 2 days a month anymore for most of us. It's not just you're going to be held in reserve, instead it's become an integral piece of the deployment package. In many units, Guard/Reserve guys deploy much more frequently than the AD.

So, NO. Doubling up to save money so that you can ask me to work more....instead of asking for the resources necessary to do the job.
Not only NO, but heck NO
No one is forcing you to stay or go on deployment as a reservist. My point is that $$ and more resources in today's environment aren't really an option. I'm sure if your leadership could change that they would. I'm not going to get into a Pi$$ing match about it, you have your opinion I have mine, and I will agree to disagree. If what it takes to get the job done is to suck it up and room with another O-4 on deployment or a drill weekend as an "integral" part of the fighting force so be it...did you sign up for Club Med or did you sign up to serve? Either way, if doubling up in a room is such a morale killer, then why stay?
