My question is why wouldn't they do that anyway? We know they are so into saving $$$. I hope they don't go to this permanently. The pilot burnout would be tremendous. 85hr x 12months is 1020hrs in a year (obviously not sustainable). They are just running so thin and I can see the cascade effect of not enough reserves and running people ragged, especially during bad WX or if a plane breaks, etc.
