The Transportation Department said Tuesday it has tentatively allowed the transaction to proceed as long as the airlines sell some of their slot interests to carriers with no or limited service at the two airports.
I guess the $$$ question is what your definition of "some" is. Could this mean US Air will have to sell some of their DCA slots (which they're getting from us) since the sticking point was reportedly JB wanting access to DCA. Is there much interest out there for LGA slots?
