thanks
Back when I was at FOB Warrior aka Kirkuk, my troop bought a satellite for us to use (40 of us). We paid $3k or $4k for the system and about $55-$60 a month. The service had different packages and amounts of bandwidth, but it was pretty solid. We could skype on it well. Way better than the best sniperhill. The dudes also had a sick network for playing games (I was too busy to partake in that part though...). Hadj also had satellites for sale for TV service, one time payments, but could not get internet. Those were the majority of the sat dishes I saw. Now that I'm at Speicher I use sniperhill which sucks and costs almost twice as much as you probably know. Setup for the satellite wasn't that hard. We fell in on the system from the unit we RIP'd with, but recently moved CHUs to new ones and set it up again. Obtaining the cable and laying it in the ground was the hardest part. Setting it up wasn't that difficult. Absolutely worth it if you have enough people who want to do it.
