Thanks for telling us what it's life in the "afterlife" - many of us I think can't contemplate what it would be like to not be at an airline. I see a line of thunderstorms and either think, "crap - how my commute going to be" or "wow - glad I'm not commuting today". It would be odd to think, "huh -it's raining".
It sure is nice to drive to work. It might not even be that much of a paycut considering commuting expenses and a greenslip or two per month.
Seeing your comment about the thunderstorms reminds me of how I felt flying charter in the winter. I hated snow for many years and wish that jet had reverse thrust. I look at winter with a new perspective now.
