I had heard Express got the United contract for essentially a loss (less than what Mesa was getting). I might be wrong though. Anyway, perhaps that is why a lot of those perks are being left out compared to what services are rendered by CAL.
As far as I know its like this across the UAX board. I've never seen heards of cleaners get onto any UAX airplane ever. I've been dealing with it for over 6 years now so I just gave up on caring about anything anymore. Just accept the fact that United ops is effed and realize you cant change it and learn to laugh at it. The day goes much better if you can laugh at it instead of let it stress you out.
Oh yeah it is super fun when UAL mainline "steals" your EDCT time. I've timmed out due to that once. We already had like a 2 hour delay and then when it was close to our time a mainline plane landed at the same station. They stole our slot and did a quick turn....wouldn't be too bad, but they didn't have any seats on the mainline so we couldn't move any of our pax over. Then we had to wait like 2 or 3 more hours. Total delay was around 6 hours.
